报告摘要：
The discriminant plays a remarkable role in solving some classical and difficult question in noncommutative algebras. In this talk, I will survey some recent developments on the discriminants and some discriminant formulas. I also give applications of discriminants to automorphism problem, cancellation problem and Tits alternative principles.
报告人简介：
王艳华，上海财经大学必威教授、博士生导师，主要从事Hopf代数与非交换代数不变量的相关研究。 曾于2012年和2017年访问美国华盛顿大学，主持多项国家自然科学基金和上海市基金项目，在Adv. Math., Math. Z.和J. Algebra等杂志发表论文20余篇。
